Start a trial with my herd

Your cows. Your ration. Your data.

We would rather show you a result from your own herd than a claim from someone else's. A NovaGreens™ trial is a controlled, nutritionist-approved study run in your barn or pens, with product supplied at trial pricing and a statistician's report you keep — whatever it shows.

How it works

Four steps from first call to final report.

Tell us about the herd

Herd size, class, current ration, milk price or gain target. Two business days later you have a draft protocol and a per-cow-per-day cost.

Your nutritionist marks it up

Endpoints, inclusion rate and randomization are agreed in writing before a cow is enrolled. Our independent nutritionist and vet sign off alongside yours.

Feed and measure

14-day baseline, then 45–90 days on NovaGreens™ against paired controls. Weekly DHIA or scale weights, feed weigh-backs, health logs. A field observer supports your team.

Read the report, decide

An independent statistician reports the result at day 30 (interim) and at close-out. Convert to commercial supply on a documented result — or don't. The data is yours either way.

The design

Built to be accepted by a nutritionist, not a marketing department.

  • Paired within-farm controls. 50 treatment and 50 control animals (dairy) or matched pens (beef). Controls for herd, forage base, weather and management — worth more than twice the animals in a between-farm comparison.
  • Randomized by parity and days-in-milk after a 14-day covariate baseline.
  • Endpoints declared in advance. Intake, milk yield, butterfat and protein %, energy-corrected feed efficiency, milk nitrogen efficiency, SCC, body condition, income over feed cost. Beef: intake, ADG, feed conversion, days on feed, cost of gain.
  • Independent oversight. Nutritionist, veterinary sign-off, DHIA and forage-lab testing, statistician's covariate model and written report.
  • Day-30 interim read. An early look at intake and yield so nobody runs a 90-day trial on a problem that could have been fixed at week four.

A 50-cow, 2 lb/day, 45-day dairy trial needs about 2.25 tons. Volume is never the constraint — farm recruitment and protocol sign-off are.
